Design Features of This Slab Gate Valve

The stem seal uses a single SLS™ spring-loaded lip seal that has been fugitive-emissions and fire tested, reducing maintenance requirements and eliminating the need for plastic packing. Spring-loaded seats relieve internal body pressure to protect sealing components. A stem back seat per API Spec 6D prevents stem ejection, while a metal-to-metal seal between the stem and bonnet in the upward position isolates the stem seal from line pressure. Seat and stem injection ports allow lubricant or emergency sealant to reduce operating torque, extend valve life, and provide emergency sealing capability. Installation orientation is flexible.
