General Four-way Diverter Valve

3” – 16” Bore Sizes / ANSI 150# – 600#

The General Valve Four-Way Diverter does not rely on line pressure or external hydraulic pressure for positive sealing.

Made of highly resilient elastomers, the seals are either bonded or mechanically retained in the seating elements, or slips. Retraction of the slips away from the valve body prior to cycling prevents friction and abrasion, which can damage seals. The seals never slide or rub against the valve body or ports.

Metal-to-metal secondary sealing prevents overcompression of the resilient primary seal. Mechanical retraction and compression ensure no-leak stream separation and longer valve life.

Inline Maintenance

Inline maintenance cuts operating costs and downtime. Because the seating segments are mounted via dovetailed connections to the plug, they can be removed from the top or the bottom and examined without having to take the valve from the line or disturbing the actuator. This added flexibility allows the General Valve Four-Way Diverter valve to be installed upside down for easy access to the actuator and slips.

The General Valve Four-Way Diverter is engineered for demanding industrial applications where dependable stream separation and long-term reliability are critical. Its through-flow design and mechanically actuated sealing system provide consistent performance without relying on external hydraulic pressure or line pressure, reducing the risk of seal wear and operational failure.

The Cameron WKM Saf-T-Seal slab gate valve is a simple, yet rugged and reliable, through-conduit valve. It utilizes two floating seats to provide a complete seal with the gate. Each seat contains a metal seat face plus a peripheral seal. The full bore design has the same pressure drop as an equivalent length of pipe and allows passage of all types of scrapers (pigs).

The WKM Saf-T-Seal gate valve’s through-conduit design provides these specific advantages resulting in reliable performance and long life:
Protection of seat faces
Smooth, continuous conduit for flow
Block-and-bleed capability

The General Four-Way Diverter Valve

Because the valve uses retracting seating elements, friction and abrasion are minimized during operation. This design helps extend seal life and maintain tight sealing integrity even in high-cycle environments. The combination of resilient elastomer primary seals and metal-to-metal secondary sealing also protects against overcompression, ensuring the valve continues to perform effectively over time.

The General Four-Way Diverter valve is widely used in pipeline, processing, and industrial flow control systems where operators require positive shutoff, reliable stream diversion, and reduced maintenance demands. With durable construction and accessible inline serviceability, it provides a dependable solution for operations that need long-lasting valve performance with minimal downtime.
